What is it that you do? And what can you offer my company?

I am a second-year Quant student pursuing my Masters in Quantitative Finance at Rutgers Business School.
I have developed exceptional Programming skills that form the Quant/Data Scientists core coding languages. (Technical Skills Section)
Having insights in Financial Instruments (Derivatives, Fixed Incomes, ETFs, etc.), coupled with excellence in Data Structures and Algorithms, I am excellent at developing Financial and Risk Management Models (Portfolio Optimization, Pricing, Time Series, etc.). I create interactive applications that make these models more comfortable to use , especially to Non-Tech users thus streamlining the processes for the Team

I completed my undergraduate at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) in Chemical Engineering, having been selected in the top 0.08 percentile of the JEE Examination out of a 1.4M other students, which demonstrates excellent Problem-Solving ability.
In addition to my Masters, I am pursuing Fellow membership of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and a Charter Holder from the CFA Institute. Studying for these has given me insights into Concepts, Ethics, Regulations, and Laws relating to the Finance and Insurance Profession.
Another strength is my ability to Explain Programming and Statistical Insights to Non-technical Audiences through Tableau and Data Visualization packages like Seaborn.
As a Quant, my advanced Math, Statistics, Programming, Risk Management, Data Science, and Actuarial Science coupled with Astute Decision-Making, Innovation, and Problem-Solving make a significant contribution to the Firm's Success.

I am interested in Finance and Insurance Industry roles, preferably as a Quant and Data Scientist. I am ready to start immediately.
As a determined and motivated individual, I am confident in my ability to positively impact to any company I work for.

What is unique about you, what is the "Extra" can you bring to my company?

We all know that 87% of the AI and Data Science projects in Quantitative Modelling don't make it into production, significantly due to ESG, Regulation ,and Data Privacy concerns. With this failure rate, a lot of essential resources and time of the Firm are wasted.
I bring well-rounded knowledge of both "Established", and "Upcoming" including ESG, Regulations, Cryptocurrency, Data Privacy, BASEL III, GRI, and Cybersecurity. This enables me to deliver the required results on time without wasting resources.
I also have Excellent Communication Skills. Usually, Quants are assumed to be shy and have a hard time explaining their work to non-technical audiences, thus leading to poor communications. I want to break that notion among naysayers!
In addition my Communication skills, I possess Excellent Data Visualization and Presentation skills . that I tailor according to my audiences to always remember to "Keep it Fun."

How do you add value to the Team?
Some say half of your returns are determined by your investments, the other half by what kind of a person you are.
A good teammate adds to the "Connection Culture" and thus significantly improves the productivity of the team.
I act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teammates with my capability to speak "rocket-science" in straightforward language. As Finance and Insurance companies move towards more and more Data driven a lot of Non-Tech Employees will understand how Data Science works thus improving the Productivity of the Team and thus the Organization.
Being an outgoing person, I can discuss topics ranging from sports to pop culture to memes, apart from Quant stuff, adding to the "Connection" among the teammates.
(See My Blogs) I am passionate about what I do, and being a fast learner; It will take no time for me to integrate into the Team and start making an impact. Being a Versatile person, I am comfortable in 'Work from Home' situation as well as 'Work from Office'. "The New Normal" isn't a big concern for me.

What is it that you seek from a company?

My main priority is to find a company where I can be continually challenged to contibute as a challenging work environment gets the best out of me.
As someone wanting to be the best Quant, I only expect an environment where I can thrive to better my skills and ,in turn, do wonders for the firm I work for!
